This is a vintage dropforged cast Iron meat Tenderizer hammer or mallet. This old kitchen tool was made around the late 19th century or the early 20th century. The maker of this tenderizer is unknown; infect, I could not find this style of meat tenderizer any were on the internet. This is a very rear find indeed. There are no identifying marks on the meat tenderizer hammer or mallet and it has an oak handle with a star at one end. At one time there was an eyebolt in the end of the handle which broke of and a new installed and at a later time the second one was removed. It does have some maker flaws on the dropforged head of the hammer. Other than that, it is in excellent condition.
