Due to their unique flat ends the stotz shot are excellent for bulking, their wide groove makes them especially handy when using greater diameters of line,  but they're also perfectly fine on fine diametered lines too.

Truly a matchmans favourite as the barrel shaped shot lend to a more streamlined, usable rig.
