This handmade pair of statement earrings features 14K gold-filled hoops with rare Australian crystal pipe opals, pink tourmaline, and hand-stamped embellishments. The earrings measure 2-1/4" in length and weigh 3.9 grams each. They hang from solid 14K gold ear wires.
Gold-fill provides a much thicker layer of gold than gold-plated and should not wear off with proper care.
Crystal pipe opal from Australia is highly coveted and not easy to get your hands on. Mother Nature only created pipe opals in small localized areas, so it can take several years or decades before more of it is found in large quantities. This means that the supply of crystal pipe opals is extremely limited, yet demand for this beautiful stone continues to grow. I’ve slowly been collecting these opals and have watched the price skyrocket just in the last year. I’m so grateful to have been able to get my hands on some of these beauts to make these earrings.
